“He has served for 5.5 years mainly as an AA gun layer. He was Mentioned in Dispatches for his work in this capacity whilst in Malta. He has also had experience as an office clerk, technical assistant and batman. He is thoroughly reliable and trustworthy, is intelligent, hard working, of sober habits and can always be depended on to do his work properly without supervision.” - Soldier’s Service and Pay Book (A.B. 64)
