Medaille des Rescapes de L'Aisne (with Aisne 1939-1940) unnamed as issued 
Dunkirk Veterans Medal 1940 unnamed as issued 
King Albert Veterans Medal unnamed as issued 

The last three medals are all complete with their award certificates. 

Edward Ellis enlisted in the Coldstream Guards between 1936-38 (Coldstream Guards Enlistment Register - Nominal Roll 1936-38). He saw active service with the 2nd Battalion, Coldstream Guards as part of the BEF in France 1939-40 campaign. He was a veteran of the Dunkirk evacuation in 1940. He saw further service with 5th Battalion, Coldstream Guards as part of the Guards Armoured Division in the North West Europe 1944-45 campaign. Discharged from the army on 04/04/1946. Relegated to section 'B' regular army reserve. Re-joined the Colours on 20/05/1948. Served in the Malayan Emergency from 1948 to 1950 with the 2nd Battalion, Coldstream Guards. Discharged as medically unfit from the army on 06/07/1951.
