A first world war medal trio awarded to RMB/1073 Bandmaster 1st Class Henry Cooper, Royal Naval School of Music (Eastney), Royal Marine Band, who sadly died on 24th November 1918 and is remembered at Portsmouth (Highland Road) Cemetery.
1914-15 Star named to R.M.B.1073, Bdmr. H. Cooper.
British War Medal named to R.M.B.1073 Bdmr.1. H. Cooper.
WW1 Victory Medal named to R.M.B.1073 Bdmr.1. H. Cooper.
The 1914-15 star has remnants of adhesive tape on the reverse but the medals are generally in good condition. Please see photos.
Henry Cooper was born on 24th August 1881 and was from Islington, London.
Saw service at the Battle of Jutland onboard HMS Shannon.
He died of a gastric ulcer on 24th November 1918.
