A QSA, China 1900 and first world war long service medal group of six awarded to 280715 Warrant Mechanician Edwin George Hayter, Royal Navy, who was mentioned in despatches for services at Jutland aboard HMS Superb. 

Queen's South Africa Medal named to E. Hayter, Sto. H.M.S. Terrible 
China War Medal 1900 named to E.S. Hayter, Sto., H.M.S. Terrible. 
1914-15 Star named to 280715 E.G. Hayter. Mech. R.N. 
British War Medal named to Wt. Mech E.G. Hayter. R.N.

Please note that there is an error on the second initial on the naming of the China medal. 

M.I.D. - London Gazette 15th September 1916, For services rendered in the action in the North Sea on the 31st May - 1st June 1916.

Edwin Hayter was born on 29th November 1875 and was from Portsmouth. 

He was Mentioned in Despatches for services at the Battle of Jutland aboard H.M.S. Superb.

The medals have some wear but are generally in good condition and are mounted court style for display.
