A first world war medal trio awarded to 11670 Corporal Percy Cawthorne Mountain, 10th Bn. West Yorkshire Regiment, who was wounded in action on the first day of the Battle of the Somme.

Cawthorne was born in Thormanby, Yorkshire . He attested in August 1914and first went out to France on the 13th July 1915. On the 1st July 1916 he was wounded in action at Fricourt, receiving a gun shot wound to his right elbow.
The medals are in good condition.
