M.I.D. - 4th April 1946

Harris' first MID was downgraded from an MBE. The original recommendation reads:
'Major Harris as DADME Radar has been responsible during the campaign for the co-ordination of highly technical ideas between the field force and War Office. Due to the complex nature of the technicalities there have been many pitfalls, and the results which he has achieved would have been a credit to a much older and more experienced officer. By the tactful handling of a difficult subject, zealous devotion to duty and tireless efforts Major Harris has done much to attain the success 21 Army Group has achieved in the Radar field'

Comes with copy research which shows his promotions culminating with him retiring as a Brigadier (LG - 02/06/1970).

The medals are in good condition and are court mounted for wear.
