Campaign Service Medal (Clasp - Borneo) named to 14433826 S.Sgt. T. Molloy. 2. E. Anglian.
The medals are in good condition and are swing mounted for wear.
Comes with copy pages from “The Poacher” journal of the 2nd East Anglian Regiment.
“Gunner” Molloy is shown serving in Cyprus in 1960 with M.Q Staff, in 1963 at East Anglian Brigade Depot.
Unusual to have WWII Service but no 1939-45 Star. Six months service in an operational command was required to qualify for the 1939-45 Star. However the qualification requirement for the France and Germany Star was the participation in any operation on land in either France, Belgium, Holland or Germany between D-Day and the German surrender, 6th June 1944 - 8th May 1945.
The Borneo clasp is scarce to the 2nd East Anglian. They are not listed in British Battles and Medals as serving in the area. Presumably Molloy was on secondment to the 1 Royal Leicestershire Regiment.
