A first world war Relief of Kut casualty medal group awarded to 19667 Private Benjamin Davies, 6th Battalion South Lancashire Regiment, who died from a gun shot wound to his abdomen.

Benjamin Davies was from Widnes, Lancashire.
He served with the 6th Battalion and was wounded in action during the unsuccessful attempts to relieve Kut. Receiving a gun shot wound to his abdomen. He was transferred to the Freeman Thomas War Hospital in Bombay, India, where he subsquently died on the 19th April 1916.
The medals are in good condition.
