The medals are in good condition and are swing mounted for wear.
Walter Hills was born in 1921 and grew up in Portslade, West Sussex.
A joiner by trade, he joined the army shortly before war was declared and was a surveyor with the Royal Artillery. After he left the regular army he joined the TA (Sussex Yeomanry).
The group comes with some original photos of Walter Hills in uniform, a Sussex Yeomanry christmas card and a number of letters, one of which comes with a sketch of Walter in uniform done by one of his friends whilst serving.
