The medal is in good condition.

Stephen John Pryor Hounsell was born on 29th July 1918 in Southampton. He left school at 14 and it is believed that he joined the Royal Navy as a boy seaman at the age of 16.
He served off the coast of Palestine before being posted to the Royal Navy Barracks, Portsmouth where he was promoted Able Seaman. Whilst serving at Portsmouth he was diagnosed with leukaemia and sadly died on the 20th March 1938 at the age of 19.
