A first world war mons star medal trio to 8457 Lance Coporal (later Company Sergeant Major) David P. Deakin, Royal Warwickshire Regiment.
1914 Mons Star (Clasp - 5th Aug. - 22nd Nov. 1914) named to 8457 L.Cpl. D. Deakin. R. War: R.
British War Medal named to 8457 A.Sjt. D.P. Deakin. R. War. R.
WW1 Victory Medal named to 8457 A.Sjt. D.P. Deakin. R. War. R.
Deakin was wounded in action on 15/5/17, receiving a gun shot wound to his right shoulder. In 1918 he was also injured when being transported in an ambulance. The ambulance stopped suddenly, throwing Deakin forward.
The medals have some edge bruising and wear but are generally in good condition. The 1914 star and VM have both been lacquered and the BWM has been silver dipped. Please see photos.
