General Service Medal (Clasp - Palestine 1945-48) named to 4613892 Cpl. J.E. Davis. 9 L.
Private Davis saw service with the 9th Lancers, 7th Hussars and Royal Tank Regiment during the second world war and in Palestine. With the group is also a photograph of him with 'E' Coy. Parachute Regiment in Folkestone wearing the badge of the Parachute Regiment so must have served with them some time in the 1950's. He was later a volunteer of the Durham County Division, Civil Defence Corps until it was disbanded in 1968.
The group comes with 9th Lancers cap badge, 7th Hussars cap badge, Royal Tank Regt cap badge, pair of Corporals rank stripes, travel razor, original photograph of him with 'E' Coy . Parachute Regt and a letter to him regarding the disbandment of the Civil Defence Corps.
The medals are in good condition and are swing mounted for wear.
