Proof coin set in original box with certificate of authenticity. In excellent condition.
This collection contains Proof specimens of the circulating range of United Kingdom coins for 2001 and includes the Victorian Anniversary Crown. It also contains two bi-colour two-pound coins: the standard version with its reverse symbolic of technological progress from the Iron Age to the Internet, and a special commemorative two-pound coin celebrating Marconi's successful transatlantic wireless transmission in December 1901. The £1 coin represents Northern Ireland and is the third in a series honouring the four constituent parts of the United Kingdom.
