A first world war British War Medal awarded to Air Mechanic 1st Class Harold Darton Emblin, Royal Air Force. 

British War Medal named to 207127. 1.A.M. H.D. Emblin. R.A.F. 

The medal is in good condition. 

Harold Darton Emblin was born on 26th July 1893 in Clapham, London. 

He was a driver by trade and he enlisted into the Royal Naval Air Service on 31st July 1915, serving at President II and Daedalus. He then transferred to the Royal Air Force on 1st April 1918. 

Asa bus driver in civilian life, Emblin was involved in the accidental death of a Corporal in the Canadian Military Mounted Police at Shorncliffe on Good Friday 1915. He was exonerated of all blame.
