A first world war casualty BWM awarded to 74268 Private Charles Bridgeman, 1st/5th Battalion Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire Regiment (previously West Yorkshire Regiment, who sadly died of wounds and is remembered at Fouquieres Churchyard Extension.

Died of Wounds - 10th July 1918
Charles Bridgeman was from Sheffield, Yorkshire. He originally enlisted into the West Yorkshire Regiment before transferring tot the Sherwood Foresters in 1918.
He was wounded in action on the 9th July 1918 and subsequently died the next day.
