A first world war casualty medal pair awarded to Private Percy Laughton, 1/5th Bn Durham Light Infantry and 2nd Bn York and Lancaster Regiment, who sadly died of wounds and is remembered at Market Rasen Cemetery.

Died of Wounds - 24th September 1916
Percy Laughton was born in Bonby, Lincolnshire and enlisted in Market Rasen.
He was wounded in action on 13th September 1916, receiving a guns shot wound to his right thigh. He returned to England on 18th September and subsequently died of his wounds six days later at the age of 22.
The medals are in good condition.
