Frederick Ernest Wright was born on 12th June 1891 in Tottenham, London. He joined the Royal Navy as a Boy in February 1908 and enlisted on 12th June 1909 when he turned 18.
He served on various ships including HMS Ark Royal, 16/3/1918 to 22/11/1920 and joined the Royal Fleet Reserve on 10th July 1921. Awarded his LS&GC on the 15th September 1926.
Only 144 medals and clasps were awarded to HMS Ark Royal.
