British War Medal named to 18748 Pte. G. Davies. Notts. & Derby. R.
WW1 Victory Medal named to 18748 Pte. G. Davies. Notts. & Derby. R.
George Davies was wounded in action (gun shot wound to right forearm) whilst serving with the 17th (Welbeck Rangers) Battalion Sherwood Foresters. He also served with the 1st Bn and 9th Bn before transferring to the North Staffordshire Regt.
The medals are in good condition with ribbons.
Comes with original photograph of him in uniform and some research.
