Please note that the is a mistake on his middle initial. This is noted on his MIC.
William Rhodes was born in Bradford, resided in Menston, Yorkshire and enlisted in Burley-in-wharfedale.
He first entered France on 10/08/1914. On the 17/09/1914 he received a gun shot wound to his right thigh and was sent home on 21/09/1914 an admitted to Royal Herbert Hospital, Woolwich. He died 4 days later on 25/09/1914.
The medal is in good condition with ribbon.
