A first world war BWM to 218699 Air Mechanic 1st Class Rigger (Aero) Rober William Moyse, Royal Air Force.
British War Medal named to 218699 1.A.M. R.W. Moyse. R.A.F.
Moyse was born in Newbury, Berkshire. He enlisted in to the 4th Bn. Royal Berkshire Regiment on 14/1/1911 and became a Lance Corporal on 15/1/1915. On the 27/7/1916 he joined the R.N.A.S. and served on HMS President II, Crystal Palace, Dunkirk and Fishguard. On the formation of the R.A.F he served as a Rigger (Aero), Air Mechanic 1st Class and was appointed as Honorary 2nd Lieutenant on 4.3.1919.
The medal is in good condition with ribbon.
