A first world war mons star trio to 2129 Private Walter John Bryant, 17th Lancers. 

1914 Mons Star named to 2129 Pte. W.J. Bryant. 17/Lrs. 
British War Medal named to L-2129 Pte. W.J. Bryant. 17-Lrs. 
WW1 Victory Medal named to L-2129 Pte. W.J. Bryant. 17-Lrs. 

The group also includes an unnamed WW2 war medal (unsure if this is his), 17th Lancers brass cap badge and an Old Contemptibles Association lapel badge. 

Bryant was born in 1890 in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk. He initially enlisted in the Grenadier Guards for 2 years before transferring to the 17th Lancers and served with them throughout the first world war. 

In 1922 he emigrated to Australia and served as naval policeman in the Royal Australian Navy from 1944. He was based at HMAS Leeuwin and was discharged from the R.A.N. in April 1950. He died on the 2nd March 1994 aged 103. 

Comes with a photograph of Walter on his 100th birthday, a number of 100th birthday cards, letter from the Governor General of Australia congratulating him on his 100th birthday, copy newspaper article from the 'West Australian' newspaper and letter from the Naval Store Dept in Freemantle, WA wihing him well on his retirement.
