A first world war and second world war special constabulary medal group of four awarded to 36379 Acting Colour Serjeant William James Nainby, Northamptonshire Regiment, who served as an Inspector in the Metropolitan Police Special Constabulary in WW2.

The medals are in good condition.
William James Nainby was born in Woolwich in 1894 and lived in Plumstead, London from at least 1911 to 1923.
The 1939 Register shows him at 9 Marsh Green Road, Dagenham and includes a note that he was an Inspector with the Metropolitan Police S.C.
