A first world war submariner casualty medal group of three awarded to 295025 Acting Leading Stoker Charles Nash, Royal Navy, who was killed in action when serving on HM Submarine C31 which was lost off Zeebrugge.

Killed In Action - 7th January 1915

Charles Nash was born on 8th April 1880 in Chichester, Sussex. 

He was killed in action when HM Submarine was lost off Zeebrugge. C31 saild from Dover to patrol Zeebrugge. The submarine was due to at Harwich on 7th January but failed to do so. A search conducted by the Destroyers Lercher and Firedrake and the RNAS failed to locate the submarine or any survivors. It is thought to have been sunk by mines off the Belgian coast on 4th January 1915 whilst patrolling off Zeebrugge. 

The medals are in good condition.
