A second world war Air Crew casualty medal group of three with condolence slip awarded to 913679 Sergeant John William Melhuish, 83 Squadron Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve, who died on 11th June 1942 and is remembered at Runnymede Memorial.

The medals are in good condition and come with original condolence slip.

Melhuish took off from R.A.F. Scampton for a mine-laying operation in the Nectarines area of the Frisian Islands. His aircraft was one of 4 that failed to return without a trace.
