A Zulu war medal awarded to 1189 Private Joseph Stiff, 99th (Duke of Edinburgh's) Regiment of Foot.
South Africa 1877-79 Medal (Clasp - 1879) named to 1189. Pte. J. Stiff. 99th Foot.
The medal has had a small hole drilled in it at 6 o'clock, inbetween the T and I of STIFF. Presumably where it has been previously mounted in a swivel mount. Otherwise, the medal is in good condition. Please see photos.
Comes with copy of medal roll entry.
