A first world war prisoner of war BWM awarded to 32470 / 76836 Private John Womack, East Lancashire Regiment and King's Own Yorkshire Light Infantry.
British War Medal named to 32470 Pte. J. Womack. E. Lan. R.
John Womack was from Doncaster, South Yorkshire.
His papers show that he was taken prisoner of war at Cassel on 21/3/18. He was also wounded at some point receiving a gun shot wound to his left foot.
