Killed In Action - 24th October 1914 (Le Touret Memorial)
Private Hobson was born in Ashton-Under-Lyne, resided in Hurst, Lancashire and enlisted in Warrington.
The 2nd Battalion were involved in very heavy fighting at La Bassee over 24th/25th October 1914. On the 24th they lost 150 men during an action at Polygon Wood.
The medals are in good condition with ribbons.
