A first world war casualty medal trio awarded to 7703 Sergeant William Donaldson, 2nd Bn. Northumberland Fusiliers, who sadly died on 8/5/1915 and is remembered at Ypres (Menin Gate) Memorial.

William Donaldson was from Newcastle-on-Tyne. He enlisted into the Northumberland Fusiliers and first entered France on 10/3/15. He died just 2 months later. His medal roll entry stating 'Pres. dead.'
