Proof coin set in original box with certificate of authenticity. In excellent condition.
This collection contains Proof specimens of the circulating range of united Kingdom coins for 2008as well as two commemorative crown pieces, one marking the 450th anniversary of the accession of Elizabeth I and another celebrating the 60th birthday of HRH Prince of Wales. It also contains two bi-colour £2 coins: the standard version with its reverse symbolic of technological progress and a special commemorative coin recalling the Olympic Games held in London in 1908. The £1 coin bears the Royal Arms with the lion and unicorn supporters, a design which appeared on the first modern £1 coin at introduction in 1983.
A maximum of 50,000 Proof collections are authorised for worldwide distribution.
